I received three e-mails this morning that I found rather interesting.

The first promised me that I had been picked by the Board of Trustees of the Fondation de France to be awarded $1,350,000.00 US...the second said "Congratulations your e-mail address has just won you 750,000 GB pounds.

The third was a headline update that said that the bailout bill that had been proposed for the bailing out of the financial institutions in the US had failed and the congress was meeting to figure out what to do now....as the stock market fell over 500 points.

The first two are obviously scams to get information about you....because in order to "collect" your winnings you have to tell them everything from you name and address to your phone number, banks, and other private information. No thank you!You can keep my "winnings".

The third is a little bit harder to figure out but you can bet that whatever "bailout" is forthcoming...either this bill or the next,  that you and I will end up paying for the bailout one way or another.

But consider this. Over 2,000 years ago God sent his Son, Jesus Christ to a cross as the ultimate "bailout"...the ultimate prize...the ultimate good news for you and me. And this free gift of God's Son requires no payback, no personal information (God knows everything about you!), and is your personal guarantee of eternal life. Now there's a bailout I can not only vote for, but one that I can talk about and share the rest of my life.
